With this BaerCoil® NoTang thread repair set it is possible to repair the thread size M 3 x 0.5 without having to break a tang.
BaerCoil® NoTang thread inserts are the best solution for all your thread repair needs! With them you are able to make durable and strong connections. With the tangless inserts you can avoid scrap in your components and recycle them. The inserts are precise and wear resistant - your screw will stay firmly in place without the thread insert slipping out.
The BaerCoil® thread repair set is the perfect solution for damaged threads without changing the nominal diameter. For the thread repair with wire thread inserts, the thread is drilled out and a new STI thread (screw thread insert) is cut for the wire thread insert. This thread is often also called STI thread (STI=Screw Thread Insert). Then the BaerCoil® NoTang thread insert is screwed into the old thread and the workpieces are screwed back together.
BaerCoil® NoTang thread inserts are tangless wire thread inserts. "NoTang" translates as "without tang". This variant of thread inserts makes work easier and installation more efficient, because the usual work step of breaking the tang is omitted here. With our innovative BaerCoil® NoTang installation tools, the thread inserts can be screwed in quickly and safely. In addition, NoTang thread inserts can be used on both sides and the thread produced is significantly more stable than the original thread.
Many electronic components, as well as applications in the food industry or medicine, are very sensitive. In some cases, components can be damaged, or the tang is not accessible in the component and cannot be removed.
Under certain circumstances,this can also mean enormous effort for quality control.
For repair directly on the thread, this thread repair kit contains various auxiliary tools, such as the core drill bit, hand tap with oversize for insert thread, insertion tool and stainless steel- thread inserts without tang. NoTang thread repair
-sets include tangless thread inserts in three different lengths.

- There is no need to break a tenon: You not only save the work step, but also the documentation and testing effort if a tenon were to disappear in the component
- Higher working speed: With NoTang thread inserts you do not have to check from which side you place the insert on the insertion tool, as it can be used from both sides. This time saving is clearly noticeable in continuous use
- Smooth workflow: The installation of several inserts is no longer interrupted by the journal break. The continuous, consistent installation process makes it faster and smoother
- Compatibility: The mounting thread is identical to the normal BaerCoil® wire thread inserts and is standardised according to DIN8140-2. This means that you can use all commercially available EC screw tap. Only the NoTang installation tool is needed to screw in the inserts.
